Radio Amateur Club of the Vienna University of Technology

The Institute of Telecommunications hosts the Radio Amateur Club of the Vienna University of Technology. The club is primarily devoted to worldwide shortwave radio communications in voice, Morse telegraphy, and digital transmission modes. As a new asset, we run a semi-professional satellite ground station supporting scientific satellite missions.

The radio amateur callsign of the club is OE1XTU. For balloon experiments we were assigned OE0S. Further, we have applied for permission to operate the UNIBRITE satellite with the tentative callsign OE0XTU.

The radio club presently is managed by Arpad, OE1SZW. Mike, OE3FMW, is responsible for the satellite ground station, and Victor, OE1VKW, takes care of the balloons carrying radio amateur equipment.

More about the activities of the club can be found at the club's homepage. A direct access to the club's flag counters is here
