Research Topic

During the design process of a signal processing system, the algorithm, which is usually written in a high level language like C, has to be mapped to an appropriate hardware structure. This architecture has to be chosen carefully, in order to meet the requirements of the project. Up to now, there has been little assistance by tools for this task, but the complexity of future systems will increase and also tough time to market requirements have to be fulfilled. My research is focused on the development and combination of emerging tools for assisting the architecture mapping process. This research is funded by the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Design Methodology of Signal Processing Algorithms.
