Each presentation is allocated a timeslot of 20 minutes which must not be exceeded. Please prepare your talk to last about 15-17 minutes so that a few minutes are left for questions and discussion. For appropriate timing of your talk, it is recommended to use no more than 10-15 slides that are not too dense. Your slides should attract the attention of the audience and emphasize the key points of your paper. They should be easy to understand and legible even from a larger distance. Avoid too much text and small fonts. Use figures and diagrams wherever possible, and colors for headings etc.
A computer and a video projector for electronic presentations as well as an overhead projector for transparencies will be provided. If you need any further equipment, please contact Mr. Thomas Zeitlhofer (tzeitlho@nt.tuwien.ac.at) no later than by July 25.
For each poster presentation, there are TWO boards placed next to each other but at an angle. On each board, a space of
width 100 cm = 39 inch x height 140 cm = 55 inch
may be used. Please see our FIGURE:
poster format (PDF)
You may mount your poster in two parts, one on each board. Adhesive tape for mounting your poster will be provided. Tacks may not be used.
The paper title, authors' names, and affiliations should appear at the top of your poster in a font that is sufficiently large to be legible from a distance of several meters. Your poster should attract the attention of the audience and emphasize the key points of your paper. It should be easy to understand and legible even from a larger distance. Use colors for headings etc. Avoid too much text and small fonts. Use figures and diagrams wherever possible.
It is mandatory that at least one of the authors is present at the poster for presentation and discussion throughout the session duration. Please be prepared to give a brief presentation (5 to 10 minutes) to people interested in your work. A sufficient number of boards are provided so that the posters may remain displayed (unattended) also during the preceding or succeeding poster session of the same morning/afternoon.
