General

The doctoral school „5G Internet of Things“ is started end of 2018 for the duration of four years.

5G is capable of delivering data transfer at speeds many times faster than today’s 4G LTE networks, further it promises dependable connectivity under hard real-time constraints at low latency, and energy-efficient massive networking for the Internet of Things.

This doctoral school is a joint undertaking by TU Graz, JKU Linz and TU Wien and jointly funded by the association FTW Forschungszentrum Telekommunikation Wien and the universities.

In connection with the doctoral school, the Course “5G Internet of Things” is offered at TU Wien.

Workshop 5G Internet of Things 2021

During September 7-8, 2021, the doctoral school held an internal workshop. Due to the pandemic, the workshop was organized as a virtual live event via Zoom.

Session “IoT Connectivity, Reliability, and Security”
