Jelena Kaitovic was born in Loznica, Serbia, in 1986. In 2005 she started studying electrical engineering at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia. In 2009, she received her Dipl. –Ing. degree and in 2010, after finishing the thesis “Localization of users in impulse UWB systems based on TDOA principle”, she received her MSc. degree in Telecommunications.
In October 2010, she joined the Institute of Telecommunications as a research assistant in the group of smart tags and sensornets and became a member of the Christian Doppler Laboratory for Wireless Technologies for Sustainable Mobility. She has worked as a university assistant at the Institute of Telecommunications, TU Wien, Austria.
Jelena received her Dr. techn. degree (Ph.D. equivalent) in telecommunications engineering with honors from the TU Wien in 2015. In her thesis, she focused on a collision recovery in radio frequency identification systems.
Since April 2016, Jelena is working as a project engineer in the Aerospace department of TTTech Computertechnik AG, Vienna, Austria.
