Biography

Martin Wolkerstorfer received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from Graz University of Technology, Austria, in 2007, and the Dr. techn. degree from Vienna University of Technology, Austria, in 2012. From 2008 to 2015 he worked as researcher (senior researcher since 2012) and project leader at the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna (FTW) in the field of signal and information processing for wired communication networks. During 2010 and 2012 he was a one-month visiting researcher at the Signal Processing Laboratory, KTH Stockholm (Sweden) and the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT-SCD), KU Leuven (Belgium), respectively. He (co-)authored over 30 scientific publications in international journals, conference proceedings, and edited books.

In 2015 he joined the Institute of Telecommunications at Vienna University of Technology. His current research interests include the modeling, evaluation, and optimization of broadband wireline access (xDSL) and Powerline Communication (PLC) networks, as well as the application of optimization and game theory for interference management.
