Michael received his Bsc. and Msc. and PhD degrees from TU Wien in 2011 and 2013 and 2018 respectively, all with best possible grades.
In 2011, Michael joined the Institute of Telecommunication at Vienna University of Technology. From 2011 to 2013, he has been working in the field of mobile commuinication research on physical layer simulations of LTE-(A) and MIMO measurements.
In 2012 Michael spent an exchange semester at Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane Australia, where he studied Communication Networks. Ever since that, he has been interested in Computer Networks and Server Administration.
From 2013 to 2018, Michael was with the Communications Theory group at the Institute of Telecommunications (TU Wien), where he was working on his PhD thesis entitled “Information-optimal Decoding and Demodulation on Sparse Graphs”.
He was awarded the Fakultätspreis 2018 (Award for excellent PhD theses) from the faculty of electrical engineering and information technology at TU Wien.
Furthermore, for his outstanding academical record, Michael had the honor of receiving his Dr. techn. degree Sub auspiciis Praesidentis.
Michael is the author and maintainer of LUT-LDPC.
