Qi Wang was born in Beijing, China in 1982. She received her Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication in 2005 and Master degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Linköping University in Sweden in 2007.
From 2008 until 2012, she pursued her PhD under supervision of Prof. Markus Rupp and finished with distinction. Her research interests include physical layer aspects of multicarrier systems, air interface design of future wireless systems. She was involved in the LTE simulator project and contributed to the Vienna LTE link level simulator.
From 2013 to July 2014, she worked as a system engineer at AKG Acoustics in Vienna, participated design and development of the digital audio/control link for professional wireless microphone systems.
Since August 2014, she is employed as a researcher at European Research Center of Huawei Technologies in Munich, where she is part of the 5G research team working on the air interface for the next generation mobile and wireless communications system.
