The FUSE microgrid testbed will integrate a wide range of components at the labs of institute of Energy Systems and Electrical Drives (ESEA) and institute of Telecommunications (TC). The contributed components include photovoltaic systems, a wind power flow emulator, real time grid simulator, controllable loads, batteries, as well as smart meters, phasor measurement units and data storage and visualisation.
The microgrid will be capable of operating in both grid-connected and island mode.
The collected and stored data will be analyzed and used as a basis for investigating and developing methods to detect failures and attacks, both in communication network and electrical microgrid.
