Adding more RRH

    Dears,

    in RRH demo, system level 1.9:

    How can we add more RRH on the same arch, or in different arch ?

    Can we change the antenna type of RRH (directional, MIMO …etc) ?

    yes in % RRH parameters, all parameter are capable to change,

    However, when i change the parameter: LTE_config.RRH.distribution_params.nRRH_per_eNodeB to any value except 3 it results in error :

    Struct contents reference from a non-struct array object.

    the same above error appear if i change nTx per RRH.

    Also, what are the other options of :
    LTE_config.RRH.distribution_type : on arch, and ?

    LTE_config.RRH.antenna_type –> what are other options, Omni, and ?

    Unfortunately i didn’t found clarifications on this parameters in your document LTEsystemDoc.

    Dear Naser,

    the problem here is the codebook based precoding, which only allows to have a total number of 1/2/4/8 antennas per eNodeB, i.e., the accumulated amount of antennas on the macro-site and the RRHs.

    The other option is ‘predefined’. Please check +network_generation/add_RRHs

    You can use any antenna from +antennas on the RRH.

    Yes, actually this is applicable for (1,2,4), however with 8 configuration is not,

    i tried the following setups:

    nTx(enodB)=1, (RRH.nTX=1, (nRRH per enodB=7) –> Index exceeds matrix dimensions.

    nTx(enodB)=2, (RRH.nTX=2, (nRRH per enodB=3) –>Subscript indices must either be real positive integers or logicals.

    nTx(enodB)=0, (RRH.nTX=1, (nRRH per enodB=8) –> Index exceeds matrix dimensions.

    nTx(enodB)=4, (RRH.nTX=1, (nRRH per enodB=4) –>Subscript indices must either be real positive integers or logicals.

    nTx(enodB)=4, (RRH.nTX=2, (nRRH per enodB=2) –>Subscript indices must either be real positive integers or logicals.

    Ive even run 8*8 config (tx mode 4) and RRH option is disabled (false), it also come up with error:
    Struct contents reference from a non-struct array object.

    Is that mean that 8*8 is yet supported by this tool ?

    Dear Naser,

    there is support for 8×8 spatial multiplexing, but you have to use transmission mode 9, according to the LTE standard.
