    Hi everyone,

    I’m trying to find what modulation and CQI use an specific UE.

    The only way I figured out is the next one. Once you have the simulation statistics you can check

    Average UE spectral eff.: 10.03 bit/cu (bit/symbol)

    using configuration CLSM 2×2

    I also found on the book The Vienna LTE-Advanced Simulators: Up and Downlink, Link and System Level page 34 table 2.2
    a table comparing the bit/symbol values against the modulation and CQI but the values don’t match. There is no 10.03 so I assume I forgot something.

    Does anyone know how to do it? What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Dear David,

    On the book Vienna LTE-Advanced Simulators: Up and Downlink, Link and System Level page 34 table 2.2, it is given efficiency of each of the CQIs, while the parameter Average UE specral efficiency is measured in bit/channel use. The amount of channel uses (CUs) in a given transmission time interval (TTI) is calculated as 12 x 14 x (total number of assigned resource blocks (RBs) in this TTI). The numbers 12 and 14 refer to the number of subcarriers and OFDM symbols in one RB and TTI, respectively.

    Best regards,
    Fjolla
