CQI_implizit for MU-MIMO Feedback

    Hi, everyone

    For MU-MIMO parameters, what is the purpose about “CQI_implizit = true”? Does it mean that the quantization/prediction/interpolation error is taken into account at the eNodeB? In contrast, if “CQI_implizit = false,” is the error considered at UE side?

    Furthermore, because when I set “CQI_implizit = false,” BLER is higher than “CQI_implizit = true.” However, throughput is higher when “CQI_implizit = false.” Therefore, which one is more accurate for MU-MIMO scheduling?

    Dear Yang,

    you are playing here around with parameters that are not implemented for general purpose scenarios, but are only utilized in a meaningful way when the setup is correctly done; that’s why these parameters are stored in “LTE_load_advanced_parameters”. We have been using these parameters in our research work and they have got nothing to do with LTE-compliant data transmission (i.e., these parameters are actually not standard defined). Since that research work lies already 5-6 years in the past, I cannot tell you any more how to setup everything correctly to get proper behaviour with implicit/explicit CQI feedback.
