Please can anyone help me to understand the exact difference between LS and LS-SAV estimators? and does the complexity of LS-SAV still same LS?

    Regards

    Dear Sara,

the sliding averaging (SAV) LS estimator basically performs an averaging in the frequency domain in order to re-establish the code domain orthogonality of the reference symbols employed for channel estimation. Due to the averaging, the complexity is higher compared to a plain LS estimator, however, I’d still consider it as a low complexity method, compared to for example MMSE estimation.

Please find further details about the implement channel estimation schemes here https://publik.tuwien.ac.at/files/publik_241847.pdf
