Line of Site (LOS) propagation

    Dears,

    How can we simulate only Line of Site (LOS) communication links between EnodeB and UE, and calculate throughput accordingly.
    what file(s) should we change and how?

    Hi Naser,

    in v1.9, you have to use the TR 36.873 path loss model.
    Then you can set the LOS_map, which is generated in LTE_init_network_generation to 1.

    Thanks for you reply.

    When we set LOS_Map to 1, does that mean that (ALL) UEs will have LOS link to their eNodeBs?

    or it will process only UEs that have LOS, and disregard other NLOS UEs as in outage ?

    Dear Naser,

    Setting the LOS map to 1 means all UEs will be in LOS condition.

    Hello Omar,

    You need to run a tri_sector_3D (TR 36.873 model), this model can support LOS/NLOS in a matrix called LOS_map.

    LOS_map is located in networkPathlossMap.

    please I asked about the techniques mitigation that used in this simulator but nobody has answered me. So have an idea about the interference mitigation technique between Macrocell and femtocells; and between neighbouring femtocells …regards
