    Hello Vienna Simulator Forum

I would like to operate omni directional eNB with one carrier only

    Thank you

    Hi Ahmed,

you can use “simulation_type = ‘omnidirectional_eNodeBs'” in your launcher file. This will create 7 eNodeBs with omnidirectional antennas, arranged in a hex-grid.

What do you mean by “one carrier only”? The smallest bandwidth you can simulate in our simulator is 1.4MHz, single-carrier transmission is not supported.

    Best regards,
    Martin

    Hi Dr. Martin

If I select 20MHz carrier. So, how many carrier per each cell the simulator can provide ?

    Hi Ahmed,

In LTE, the basic subcarrier spacing equals 15 kHz. Due to guard bands etc. you get 1200 subcarriers for 20 MHz bandwidth.

    Best,
    Martin
