Can I adapt the RRH network parameters to execute Macro-Pico Scenario in LTE-A HetNet network?
– 7_Macro_eNBS –each with_3Sectors
– 3_Pico_eNBS per Macro_eNBs, that is each macro with one pico_eNB deploy
– CRE and ABS implementation
I tried implementing it with femtos but it did not go too well.
The RRH does not fit in what you want to implement. For an LTE-A HetNet consisitng of macro-pico base stations, you can use the launcher file of femtocells. The femtocell implementation is quite general and allows for easy modifications such as: you can change the number, distribution and position of small cell (pico or femto) base station, transmit power, macroscopic pathloss model used, you can set the pico-cells to open subscriber mode (OSG) and so forth.
Yes, it is possible to predefine pico-base station positions. Currently we only support ‘homogenous density’ and ‘constant femtos per cell’ for small cell distribution, however easily you can add more cases, by modifying +network_generation/add_femtocells.m (adding a new case for LTE_config.femtocells_config.spatial_distribution; lines 10 – 27) and defining this new case in +spaial_distibutions. Or you can just overwrite the parameter femtocell_pos in the same file, by adding the desired coordinates in x and y.
