unfortunately traffic models are not properly implemented in the current LTE-A Uplink Link Level Simulator. In case you are interested in traffic models, you would have to use our system level simulator.
as I said, the traffic models are unfortunately not properly implemented. Also, the link level simulator aims to simulate an average system level performance. Although a subframe has, of course, a certain time duration, the results show the average performance over SNR, not over time.
I am trying to generate my own code for traffic generation to be able to simulate different traffic models for my thesis topic.
I have a very basic question how can we calculate simulation time in terms of seconds not Subframes, I get that one Subframe=1ms but for example in the LTE-A uplink simulation documentation in quicktest section, 2000 subframes was equivalent to 50 simulation duration.

the simulator only allows simulation on a subframe basis. This is due to LTE’s structure is based on this time interval which the simulator tries to simulate accurately.
I am sorry for the confusion regarding the documentation. What we wanted to express with this “50 (2000)”, is that we set the quicktest scripts to 50 subframes when shipping to make the first simulation run quicker. For the figures we included in the documentation we used 2000 subframes in order to get more significant results to compare to.
