    Hi there,

    I’d like to check why, in the file UE.m, the received power for a given UE is calculated for all the RBs in the system, instead of just the RBs allocated to that UE?

    Also, what is the meaning of this formula:RX_total_RB = (TX_power_data+TX_power_signaling)./user_macroscopic_pathloss_lin./user_shadow_fading_loss_lin;
    Why the shadow fading is multiplying the TX power?

    Thank you! All the best,

    Natalia

    I realized the formula is correct: user_macroscopic_pathloss_lin and user_shadow_fading_loss_lin are both multiplied and both are dividing (TX_power_data+TX_power_signaling) 🙂

    Hi Natalia,

    yes, this is correct. Since we consider linear pathloss and shadow fading values, the total power is simply divided by these two quantities.

    Please let me know if you have further questions regarding this topic.

    Best regards,
    Martin
