Hope you are fine.
Please I have the following question:
In real LTE-A mobile network, Can the the base station know the current speed or the change in speed for the mobile user and how the base station get this information about the speed of UE?. In fact, I noticed it is possible in simulator to set the UE speed, but it is just one speed (fixed speed for UE).
in our simulator the user speed is indeed fixed and equal for all users. You are right, the user speed is considered as genie knowledge at the base station as it is usually unknown and needs to be estimated at the receiver in a real world system. However, the information about UE speed is only exploited at the receiver when channel interpolation with DPSS (available at version 1.6) is used.
