Varying sectors during simulation

    Would it be possible to adapt the number and direction of sectors during a simulation? For example the simulation starts with sector_azimuths=[0 120 240], then after one TTI this is changed to [60 150 240 330].

    If so, where would this need to be implemented?

    Many thanks

    Apologies for the second post, but would it also possible to modify the antenna pattern of each sector at the same time? For example to move from a 3-sector setup to a 6-setup setup with appropriate antenna patterns during a simulation? Where would this be added.

    Many thanks

    Dear Tom,

    Unfortunately this is not feasible with our simulator. The simulator is constructed such that the results are averaged over a certain number of TTIs, and the simulation setup can not be changed on each TTI. If you want to compare different number of sector or/and sector orientation, different antenna patterns, then I suggest to run specific simulations for each scenario; and to be comparable you can fix the seed of random number generation, fix the user position (LTE_config.UE_cache = true;) and even use the same channel trace by using: LTE_config.delete_ff_trace_at_end = false; and LTE_config.recalculate_fast_fading = false;

    Best regards,
    Fjolla
